4×5 Bee Blocks (3rd Quarter)

Whoops!  I totally forgot to post about my 4×5 (3rd quarter) bee!

Here are the blocks I made. Tutorial here.  I am really happy with how these turned out!  A few of the blocks were just a hair under 12.5″ so I’m not sure what I did…  Maybe the template printed just a touch off of the right size.

Here are the blocks I received.

I am planning on making a quilt for the boys to use in the family room. Blue & green are some of their favorite colors so hopefully they will like it!  I have signed up for another round so I will be adding to these!

  1. Both the ones you made and the ones you received are great! How does it take you to put one of the blocks you made together?? Just to get an idea of the time commitment on something like this. As a non-sewer I have no clue.

    • The blocks I made took about 2 hours each. That’s after I figured out how to do it! My first block took 3.5 hours I think! But it was my first real paper piecing so there was a lot I was learning.
